White label: delivery on your domain

White label puts your deliveries on your own domain. Your delivery emails come from an address on your domain, and your recipients download from your own web address, like files.yourstore.com. Veluril is never seen. It’s included on every plan, Free Explore too.

On Veluril’s domain

Until your domain is set up, your delivery emails come from support@veluril.com, and the download page is on download.veluril.com. Look at the sender and the web address:

On your domain

With your domain set up, the same delivery comes from your address, and the download page is on your web address. Here, Chessmaster Games uses deliveries@chessmastergames.com and files.chessmastergames.com:

Your recipients see your domain everywhere:

  • The delivery email comes from your domain. You choose the address: deliveries@, downloads@, files@ or hello@. Replies go to your contact email.
  • The download page and their library are on your domain URL.
  • Even your terms and privacy policy are on your domain and not Veluril’s.
  • There’s no Veluril name or link in the email or on any recipient page.

What you need

A domain you own, from any provider, and access to change its DNS records. The recipient’s download page will be on a subdomain, like files.yourstore.com, and the delivery emails come from your domain, like deliveries@yourstore.com. You don’t need hosting, your website doesn’t change, and you don’t need to do any coding.

Setting it up means adding three DNS records where you manage your domain, usually where you bought it: one for your download page, and two for your email. Veluril shows you each one, with copy buttons. If you are not sure what DNS records are, share the instructions with your DNS provider, who can help.

Where to set it up

In Veluril, go to Settings → Your domain, and follow Setting up white label for each step. Using the Stripe app? See Setting up white label in the Stripe app.

Once your records are in, Veluril sets up your domain and its email, and emails you when it’s live.

We keep monitoring the DNS records for your domain so, in the unlikely event it stops working, we email you straight away. You can also choose what to do with deliveries while it’s being fixed: keep delivering but on Veluril’s domain, or hold new deliveries until the DNS is back up and running. That way, the recipients only ever see your domain.
